I first heard Florence & the Machine when her song "Dog Days Are Over" played during a movie preview (I think)...anyways, I love her music and I think the complete branding of her band is really genius. They are the perfect mix of indie and mainstream.

I Heart Wilco

Wilco will probably always be in my top 10...perfect for playing on a road trip or just a lazy day at home, their music is innovative, soothing, and somehow really easy to relate to. Their A Ghost is Born album got me through so many late nights of portfolio prep during my senior year of high school, and I've loved them ever since.

Just heard today that they've switched over to their own independent label, and producing their next album!

Patience is a Virtue

So I've been mildly obsessed with The Strokes since I was 16, and I have to say that I am counting down the days until the March 22 release of their new album, Angles. I went crazy over Julian Casablancas' and Albert Hammond Jr.'s solo albums, and I have faith that their new record will keep me dancing...Thank God February's a short month...

Lily Allen

I've been a Lily Allen fan since she released her debut album, Alright Still in 2007. Her lyrics are full of whimsy and power. I absolutely love her sophomore album, It's Not Me, It's You, for the cheeky stories she tells in each song, and for the catchy, dancable melodies. In addition to being a fab musician, Lily Allen is a trend setter (sporting pink hair at times)...And she's been the face of Chanel, and a muse to Karl Lagerfeld...we also share a birthday!
